I love being outside. I love going for walks. I love exploring the woods. I love fresh air. I love observing nature's finite details. But yesterday, I didn't want to do those things. The sky was gray, the air was damp, and I just didn't feel inspired. On such days, I run circles on the internet. I stretch. I check the pantry for a snack. I feel restless. It was that kind of day. A day of feeling restless and unproductive. These are the times when I want to give myself permission to relax but don't feel like I'm able to. I'm usually so driven to do do do that I forget that it's okay to loose myself in a book for a while or watch a tv show. I love the idea of relaxing but I so rarely make the time for it amidst work, socializing, and planning. So this photo shoot is a little reminder to myself that it's alright to take breaks from real life once and a while.
